Carl A. P. Ruck is an American philologist and scholar specialized in Greek mythology and the study of entheogenic substances in religious and cultural contexts. His work falls within the genres of history of religions, ethnobotany, and classical studies, focusing on the use of psychoactive plants in antiquity.

Among his most notable works is The Road to Eleusis (1978), co-written with Albert Hofmann and R.
