She has published highly successful novels and has received several awards, such as the Planeta Prize 2009 and the Award for Best Translated Novel in China 2010 for Contra el viento or the Fernando Lara Prize 2000 for Un largo silencio. She is also a translator, columnist, and scriptwriter. Her work is translated into fifteen languages. She collaborates with Cadena Ser, RNE, and La Vanguardia.
