Ángeles Caso
(Gijón, 1959) Writer, art historian, and communicator. She has published various essays that have become classics in gender historiography, such as Las olvidadas. Una historia de mujeres creadoras (2005), Ellas mismas. Autorretratos de pintoras (2016), Grandes maestras. Mujeres en el arte occidental (2017) or the children's book Pintoras (2018). She has published highly successful novels and has received several awards, such as the Planeta Prize 2009 and the Award for Best Translated Novel in China 2010 for Contra el viento or the Fernando Lara Prize 2000 for Un largo silencio. She is also a translator, columnist, and scriptwriter. Her work is translated into fifteen languages. She collaborates with Cadena Ser, RNE, and La Vanguardia.
