Kimi Goes to Japan - Kimberly Merton

Kimi Goes to Japan is a beautifully illustrated children's story about curiosity, kindness, and discovering the beauty of different cultures through travel.

When Kimi journeys across Japan, every new city brings a meaningful experience. From the bright energy of Tokyo to the peaceful traditions of Kanazawa, the timeless temples of Kyoto, and the lively festival streets of Osaka, Kimi learns that respect, listening, and an open heart can create friendships anywhere in the world.

Along the way, she experiences traditional tea ceremonies, meets welcoming new friends, explores historic temples, and discovers how small acts of kindness connect people across cultures and languages.

Told through gentle storytelling and whimsical watercolor-style illustrations, Kimi Goes to Japan encourages young readers to appreciate diversity, embrace new experiences, and explore the world with empathy and wonder.

Perfect for children ages 4-8, families, classrooms, and anyone who loves travel-inspired stories, this heartfelt adventure reminds readers that every journey leaves a lasting mark on the heart.
