Tomas Ochoa Rubio
Civil Engineer with a master's degree in Hydraulics and Hydraulic Structures from the Peoples' Friendship University of Moscow. Has over 30 years of experience as a national and international consultant in hydraulic design and planning of hydroelectric power plants, irrigation districts, aqueducts, sewers, treatment plants, ports, drainage works on roads, river hydraulics, flood control, and river management.
His teaching experience exceeds 25 years in the subjects: hydraulic structures, hydroelectric power plants, water resources, energy resources, pipeline hydraulics, channel hydraulics, river hydraulics, fluid mechanics, and slope stability, at Javeriana, La Gran Colombia, and Santo Tomás universities.
He works as a Research Professional registered in Colciencias, on the topics of scouring in natural channels and hydraulic resistance in Colombian rivers. He is the author of articles on hydraulics and hydraulic structures in the engineering journals of Javeriana, La Gran Colombia, and Santo Tomás universities.
