Luis Sepúlveda
Luis Sepúlveda (Chile, 1949 - Spain, 2020). In 1993, Tusquets Editores began publishing his work with his famous novel Un viejo que leía novelas de amor, translated into numerous languages, with million-dollar sales and made into a film with a screenplay by Sepúlveda himself, directed by Rolf de Heer and starring Richard Dreyfuss.
He followed with the novels Mundo del fin del mundo and Nombre de torero, the travel book Patagonia Express, and the story volumes Desencuentros, Diario de un killer sentimental followed by Yacaré and La lámpara de Aladino. With Historia de una gaviota y del gato que le enseñó a volar, Sepúlveda became a living classic for many young people and students. In that same tradition, he now publishes Historia de un perro llamado Leal, a pure and emotive story that will again move the reader, regardless of their age.
