José Alberto Palma
José-Alberto Palma, born in Jaén, son, grandson, and great-grandson of doctors, holds a degree in Medicine, specializes in Neurology, and has a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Navarra. He publishes his research, among others, in the journals New England Journal of Medicine and Neurology and has received the López Sánchez awards from the Royal National Academy of Medicine and the Don Summer's Award for research in multisystem atrophy. In his divulgative facet, he is the author of The Skeptical Doctor (2010) and How We Make Decisions (2012), very well received for their scientific rigor and readability. This book is the result of his passion for the history of Medicine, inherited from his father. He lives in New York, where he is a professor of Neurology at New York University.
