Javier Martínez García
Javier Martínez García, born in 1971 in Molina de Segura (Murcia), is a Spanish author specialized in children's and young adult literature. He holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Granada and received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue an MFA in Film and Television at the University of California, Los Angeles. His career has developed in the field of animation as a screenwriter and director, collaborating on series such as Iron Kid and Mica. He currently lives in Madrid, where he combines his work in animation with literary writing.
Among his most notable works is the trilogy starring Mina San Telmo, a young writer of detective novels. The first book, Mina San Telmo and the cursed museum (2012), introduces the character in a mystery related to modern art. It is followed by Mina San Telmo and the celluloid crypt (2014) and Mina San Telmo and the great experiment (2014), which combine elements of suspense with cultural references to cinema and science. He is also the author of The author of this book is a zombie, finalist for the Everest Prize in juvenile literature.
