Ariel Álvarez Valdés
Ariel Álvarez Valdés was born in Santiago del Estero (Argentina) in 1957. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Theology from the Franciscan Biblical Faculty in Jerusalem, and a Doctorate in Biblical Theology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca. As part of his studies, he made numerous academic trips to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, and the Sinai Peninsula. For several years, he has been dedicated to the popular dissemination of scientific research on the Bible. He has been a professor of Sacred Scripture at various Diocesan Seminaries and Universities in Argentina. In 2010, he created, and has since presided over, the Foundation for Dialogue between Science and Faith.
He has given lectures and biblical courses in Spain, Ukraine, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Cuba, Uruguay, and Mexico. He has published more than 250 biblical articles, which have been translated into Italian, English, French, German, Dutch, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Portuguese, and Chinese.
