Der vorgeschlagene Unfall besteht aus einem Station Blackout im Kraftwerk Angra 1, bei dem durch die vollständige Beschädigung des Kerns 100 % des I-131 in die Atmosphäre freigesetzt werden. Der Wert der Gesamtaktivität im Kern für dieses Radionuklid beträgt 7,44 x 10 17 Bq, was dem sechsten Tag der Verbrennung entspricht. Bei Anwendung des Modells auf das vorgeschlagene Szenario zeigt sich, dass die Wolke Konzentrationen in der Grö enordnung von 10 20 Bq/m3 und eine kompromittierte Dosis in der Schilddrüse in der Grö enordnung von 10 8 Sv aufweist, deren Wert über der im aktuellen Notfallplan von Eletronuclear dargestellten Auswirkungszone liegt.
