Synopsis "Unversehrt Und Unverletzt: Hildegards Von Bingen Menschenbildund Kirchenverstandnis Heute (in German)"

English summary: In this volume, we publish the results of an international conference held at Erbacher Hof in Mainz devoted to the work of the German Doctor of the Church Hildegard von Bingen. Focussing on markedly theological aspects, in March 2013 scholars of various disciplines (theologians, philosophers, historians, medical historians, music historians) convened to discuss, after the canonisation of Hildegard and her elevation to the rank of Doctor of the Church by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012, new scientific approaches to her person and work. It is to be hoped that the contributions in this volume help readers to refresh their analyses of the writings of this most important female writer of Christianity up to the 12th century in the present.
