Son el triunfo de lo humano frente a lo divino, la secularización de todos valores, la heterodoxia con piel de cordero, la libertad frente al determinismo cósmico y contra la causalidad teológicamente anunciada, la desmitificación del miedo y la anulación de la esperanza como cercos que conducen al ser humano a los dominios de la religión, el triunfo de la razón frente a los disparates de la superstición; la racionalización de la guerra y la paz; las ascuas de un imperio; la afirmación de un espacio antropológico unidimensional, en el que el ser humano gestiona, para bien y para mal, todos los movimientos y prolepsis; la razón humana cuestionada y delatada por una razón animal antropomórfica; la «disimulación provechosa», el engaño a los ojos de la moral seiscentista, el triunfo de la heterodoxia y el deicidio, la antesala del ateísmo espinosista, el triunfo del Hombre sobre Dios.

Jesús G. Maestro (Gijón, Spain, 1967) is a University professor specialized in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, who has worked as a theorist and critic of literature and as an editor and translator

He is the author of the work titled Critique of Literary Reason (2017, 2022, 10th ed.), one of the most original and independent contributions made from Spain to contemporary literary theory

Professor of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at a public university in the Spanish State, he is the director of the Hispanic Chair of Literary Studies and the International Program of Digital University Teaching in Spanish (Hispanosfera Académica)

He has developed teaching and research work at different universities in Europe and America, and has been a translator, author, and editor of books and academic publications on Miguel de Cervantes, Spanish Literature, Literary Theory, Comparative Literature, Theater Theory, Hispanism, and contemporary Philosophy

Graduated in Hispanic Philology in 1990, he obtained his PhD in 1993, published his doctoral thesis a few months later, and began his teaching activity as a university professor in 1994, at a different university from the one where he studied. His academic teaching continues today, with more than a thousand videos and university classes recorded live, available on the internet openly, freely, and for free

Since 2014 he has digitized all his university teaching through 5 MOOCs, on 1) The complete literary work of Miguel de Cervantes, 2) Philosophy of the poets, 3) Literary Genres, 4) Comparative Literature, and 5) Advanced Course in Literary Theory

Specialized in digital teaching, since May 2021 he is the director of the International Classroom of Hispanic Studies in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the University of Vigo

From 2007 to 2021 he is Director of Publications at Editorial Academia del Hispanismo. Previously he has held various management positions in publishing companies and collaboration in media

He has founded and directed scientific and academic publications such as Theatralia and Anuario de Estudios Cervantinos

He has annually directed the organization of courses, conferences, and academic congresses in different institutions based in Gijón, Vigo, and Madrid, related to Cervantes, Spanish Literature, Hispanism, Literary Theory, and Comparative Literature
