On the eve of her 35th birthday, Bayley is forced to confront a myth that has haunted trans women for generations: the idea that they may not live beyond 35.

Created with acclaimed playwright and performer Jo Clifford, Thirty-Six is a fierce, funny and tender solo show about mortality, survival, transition, grief and chosen family. Moving between confession, celebration, remembrance and resistance, the play asks what it means to live in a world that too often denies trans people the simple, radical possibility of growing older.

Deeply personal and boldly political, Thirty-Six is a moving work of contemporary queer theatre about learning from the dead, fighting for the living, and imagining a future in which trans lives are not only mourned, but cherished, honoured and allowed to flourish.
