Paloma Valdivia, born in Chile in 1978, is a prominent illustrator and author specialized in children's literature. She studied Design at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and completed a postgraduate degree in Creative Illustration at the Eina School of Art and Design in Barcelona, where she lived for seven years. Her work has been translated into more than 15 languages and focuses on creating picture books for children.

Among her most notable works are "Los de arriba y los de abajo" (2009), "Es así", and "La niña Violeta". She has been awarded the Grand Prix at the Bratislava Biennial of Illustrations and nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award, considered the Nobel Prize for children's literature. Additionally, she was a guest of honor at the Bologna Children's Book Fair 2024. Currently, she is a founding partner of Ediciones Liebre, a publishing house dedicated to early childhood publications.
