Synopsis "The Nyctalope - The Witch-Queen of Lyon"

June 1931. In the ancient city of Lyon, the body of a young woman, mysteriously drained of all life, is found in the Rhône River. Quickly, the Nyctalope gathers all the agents of his Committee for Information and Defense (C.I.D.) to solve this strange case. They discover that the woman's brain and spinal cord have been replaced with mysterious substances

and that she has been bled in a ritual manner.

The Nyctalope soon realizes that he is fighting the deadly and powerful Princess Alouh T'Hô, immortal leader of the sect of the Blood Worshipers, who feed on the blood and vital fluids of the young.

The Witch-Queen of Lyon, the eighth adventure of France's earliest superhero, was first serialized in the newspaper Le Matin in 1933.

"The Nyctalope is fun because he straddles the line between pulp hero and superhero and uses elements of both."

Travis Hiltz.

"One of the pioneers of superhero fiction."

Jean-Marc Lofficier.
