Synopsis "The Mythology, the Metal and the Hourglass"

This is the first story in a series called Journey through the Eye of the Needle. All of the stories are in the context of what is known as The Wisdom Tree. Is it the beginning of time? For Alphason, a man who has seen paradise with his own two eyes, it is a step in the right direction after many decisions that have led him to stumble. Many in this new world have unclear intentions. Giants have large appetites. Birds are especially hazardous. Fallen Sand have their own ideas on how this world should be. Through all of this, Alphason searches for someone with shared experiences. Both of them have a story to tell, a tragedy of crushed hope. Little do they know about their own lives, a powerful deity looks down on them with his own intentions. It is really his story they are telling.
