Michael David Baron, conocido profesionalmente como Mike Baron, es un guionista estadounidense nacido en 1949, reconocido por su extensa trayectoria en el mundo del cómic y la narrativa de aventuras. Se dio a conocer en la década de 1980 como co-creador del personaje Nexus, junto al dibujante Steve Rude, una serie de ciencia ficción que destacó por su mezcla de sátira política, acción y reflexiones morales. A lo largo de su carrera ha trabajado para las principales editoriales del cómic norteamericano, aportando historias dinámicas y personajes complejos dentro del género superheroico.

Baron también escribió diversas etapas de personajes populares, entre ellas la serie The Flash durante los primeros años de la encarnación de Wally West, donde ayudó a consolidar el tono moderno del personaje.
