Alex Bellos has worked as a reporter for The Guardian, first at the London office and later as a correspondent in Rio de Janeiro. In 2003, he began freelancing for this newspaper, and also for other prestigious dailies such as The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Independent, The Financial Times, The Observer, The Sunday Telegraph, The Sunday Times, The Daily Mail, The Daily Express, The Mirror, and News of the World.
