Daniel K. Clegg is a mathematics professor at Palomar College, near San Diego, California, where he has taught for over 20 years. He earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics at California State University, Fullerton, and his master's degree in Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Clegg has co-authored several textbooks in the field of mathematics. Among his notable works are "Brief Applied Calculus" (1999), in collaboration with James Stewart, and "Mathematical Excursions" (2007), with other authors. Additionally, he has contributed to solution manuals for Stewart's calculus texts.

Saleem Watson is Professor Emeritus of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at California State University, Long Beach. He earned his Bachelor of Science at Andrews University, Michigan, and pursued graduate studies at Dalhousie University and McMaster University, where he obtained his PhD. His specialty is Functional Analysis.

Watson has co-authored several mathematics textbooks with James Stewart and Lothar Redlin. Among his most notable works are Precalculus: Mathematics for Calculus (1992) and Algebra and Trigonometry (1992), both in the genre of mathematics textbooks.
