Synopsis "Silly Tilly"

Tilly knows exactly what she likes-and frilly dresses are definitely not on the list! When Mama decides her Chihuahua needs a wardrobe of silk, chenille, fancy hats, and bows, Tilly has plenty to say about it. She barks, pulls away, and makes her feelings perfectly clear: she does not want to wear those clothes.Mama responds with affection and a tempting proposal. Could a few treats, some toys, and a pretty new collar persuade Tilly to try just one dress? Tilly reluctantly agrees, but she is still unsure about all those ruffles-and even less sure about posing for Mama's phone. Then she catches a glimpse of herself in the mirror. In Silly Tilly, Pam DuBois tells a playful story in rhyme about a small dog with a wonderfully outsized personality. Colorful illustrations capture Tilly's protests, Mama's enthusiasm, and the delightful moment when this opinionated pup discovers that dressing up might be more fun than she imagined.Made for sharing aloud, this humorous picture book offers an entertaining adventure for young animal lovers and the grownups who read with them. Follow Tilly from "absolutely not" to an unexpected change of heart. Read more
