Synopsis "Schule, Stadtteil, Lebenswelt: Eine Empirische Untersuchung (in German)"

Auf welche Weise Schulen ihr sozialräumliches Umfeld wahrnehmen und welche Bedeutung dies für das schulische Angebot hat ist Gegenstand dieser Untersuchung. Das sozialräumliche Umfeld von Schule ist Rahmenbedingung wie auch Herausforderung für die Gestaltung des schulischen Angebots. Im Rahmen dieser Untersuchung in sechs Stadtteilen deutscher Gro städte wurde gefragt, wie Schulen ihr sozialräumliches Umfeld wahrnehmen und welche Bedeutung dies für die Gestaltung ihres schulischen Angebots hat. Daneben wurden Jugendliche und Stadtteilbewohner nach ihrer Wahrnehmung der Schulen im Stadtteil und ihren Erwartungen an deren Angebote befragt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass Schulen sich sehr unterschiedlich mit der Gestaltung ihres Angebots auf ihre sozialräumlichen Rahmenbedingungen beziehen, ihre potenziellen Nutzer wie auch die Stadtteilbewohner zwar inzwischen auch über Unterricht hinausgehende Angebote erwarten, dabei aber bescheiden bleiben.
