Redmark - Stephen Bui

Twelve-year-old Mira Sandoval has spent eight months travelling to a home she never chose. For Rafi, the ship that brings her to Mars offers the opposite: a paid engineering placement on Earth.

Then the colony's freight bridge closes, cutting off the fuel the fleet needs to return. A possible new route crosses the roof of an inhabited passage. Echo must ask the people who use it-and their answer will change every plan.

Mira is trying to feel at home. Echo wants the freedom to travel. With departure approaching, Rafi must decide whether the life he wants is waiting on Earth, or still unfinished on Mars.

When Earth Returns is the second illustrated novel in The Redmark Saga.
