Gottlob Frege (1848-1925) was a German philosopher, logician, and mathematician considered one of the founders of modern logic and semantics. Throughout his life, he developed ideas that greatly influenced analytical philosophy and the theory of truth. Among his most important works are "Begriffsschrift" (1879), a fundamental work in formal logic, and "Foundations of Arithmetic" (1884), in which he addresses the nature of numbers and mathematics from a logical perspective.

Frege is also known for his contributions to the analysis of language and his concept of "sense" and "reference", key concepts in semantics. Although he did not receive major awards during his lifetime, his work was essential for the development of mathematical logic and the philosophy of language in the 20th century.
