Oliver Napoleon Hill was born on October 26, 1883 in Wise County, Virginia, United States. Hill began his career as a local reporter and, according to his own account, was tasked with interviewing Andrew Carnegie, who supposedly entrusted him with the principles of success. Although the veracity of this encounter has been questioned, Hill built his philosophy from interviews and observations of figures such as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and John D. Rockefeller. His life was marked by ups and downs, including business failures, accusations of fraud, and personal reinventions, but he always maintained his message of self-improvement and positive thinking.

Hill's style combines anecdotes, practical principles, and an optimistic view of human potential, advocating the importance of mindset, perseverance, and collaboration (the "Master Mind") as keys to success.
