Synopsis "Peter von Aragon und die Sizilianische Vesper (in German)"

Nachdruck des Originals von 1904 über die Sizialianische Vesper. Nach dem Aussterben bzw. der Hinrichtung der letzten Staufer übernahme das Anjou in Person von Karl von Anjou die Herrschaft über Süditalien und Sizilien. Mit der Sizilianischen Vesper revoltierte die sizialianische Bevölkerung gegen die französische Fremdherrschaft und tauschte diese gegen die Herrschaft Peters von Aragon ein, der über seine Ehefrau Erbansprüche aus der Stauferlinie bezog. Peter von Aragon wurde König von Sizilien, Karl von Anjou behielt die Herrschaft über den Festlandsteil Süditaliens.
