Synopsis "Parrot Island Tales"

A wealthy man knows he can dominate because he is sure he has what everyone else wants. But in that he may be misguided, and the gods will only put up with a misguided man for so long.Somewhere in time, on the edge of a cold ocean, a sleepy fishing village is being governed - and plundered - by ambitious mining and lumber companies. These men have all the wealth. They have all the power. They think their way of life is imperishable. Then one of their own changes the agenda, because he has learned something about wealth from these backwoods villagers, something that endures in the human mind and heart. In tales that come from a place far to the north of everywhere, the conflict between powerful and powerless supplies the turmoil. The oldest force in the world supplies the resolution.
