Mona Kasten was born on June 2, 1992 in Hamburg, Germany. From a young age, she was an avid reader and began writing her own stories in her teens, influenced by her love for young adult and fantasy literature. She studied Library Science and Information Management at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, though she soon dedicated herself entirely to writing, becoming one of the most prominent authors of young adult and new adult literature in Germany.

She started her career by self-publishing novels on digital platforms, which allowed her to connect with her audience and build a community of loyal readers. Her style is characterized by the creation of complex characters, agile dialogues, and themes that explore personal growth, love, friendship, and the emotional challenges of youth. Her works touch on issues such as anxiety, the search for identity, and the importance of emotional bonds.

She loves all forms of caffeine and taking long walks in the forest. Her two acclaimed series, Again and Save, and her duology Lonely Heart and Fragile Heart, have become a publishing phenomenon in her native Germany, where they have already captivated more than four million readers.
