Synopsis "No Greater Love"

Florry and Sarah, from widely different backgrounds become roommates in a care facility. Florry, outspoken and practical, contrasts with Sarah, an obsessive-complulsive dreamer who lives in her own world. They both suffer the lack of privacy and constraints associated with community living. Florry, the more vocal of the two, decides that she no longer wants to live even though she is pain free and relatively comfortable. Sarah, carefree and solicitous, assumes the role of an over-protective care-giver. Florry's children are dismayed by their mother's depressive state and plan a small reunion to raise her spirits. On the day before the planned reunion, a freak March snowstorm renders the area virtually impassable and part of the family is stranded at the airport. The violent weather triggers memories of snow that both women prefer not to remember. At the peak of the storm, a terrible accident occurs, involving both women - one as victim and the other as suspect. When the mystery is solved, one understands the message in John 15:13. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
