Esta narración, muy probablemente escrita en el segundo tercio del siglo XVI por el sabio indígena Antonio Valeriano, es el relato original de las apariciones de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe al indio Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin, en el año de 1531, en el cerro del Tepeyac. Su título surgió de las primeras palabras con las que comienza el texto: aquí se cuenta o aquí se narra. Es ésta, que sepamos, la primera vez que se registra en audio la edición bilingüe del documento, cuya versión náhuatl y su traducción al español estuvo a cargo de Miguel León Portilla.
