Joel Osteen (born in 1963 in Houston, Texas) is an American pastor and author known for his self-help and Christian motivation books. His most recognized work, Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living at Your Full Potential, published in 2004, became an international bestseller. Osteen is the pastor of Lakewood Church, one of the largest congregations in the United States.

Among his other notable works are Become a Better You (2007), I Declare (2012), and The Power of I Am (2015), all within the genre of spirituality and personal development with a Christian focus. His books have been translated into several languages and have influenced millions of readers around the world.
