Professor and Associate Chair of Medical Education in Neurobiology and Anatomy, and Associate Dean of Admissions, at the School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Rochester. He received his PhD in Anatomy from Tulane University and has held faculty appointments at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and at the University of Rochester. Previously, he served as the Kilian J. and Caroline F. Schmitt Chair of Neurobiology and Anatomy and for the last 14 years as Associate Dean of Admissions. He has received an NIH Research Career Development Award, numerous teaching awards. He is the author of more than 110 medical research publications.
