This Activity Book is designed to be used with 'My Body! What I Say Goes! KIAH'S EDITION' children's book. This Indigenous version will help children to protect their bodies from inappropriate touch. Illustrated by awarding-winning Indigenous artist Jasmine Seymour, children will be empowered to say in a strong and clear voice, "This is my body! What I say goes!" Through culturally-appropriate illustrations and engaging text, this book (written by the author of 'Let's Talk About Body Boundaries, Consent & Respect', 'No Means No!' and 'Some Secrets Should Never Be Kept') will teach children the following crucial and empowering skills in personal body safety: - identifying safe and unsafe feelings - recognizing early warning signs - developing a safety network - using the correct names for private parts - understanding the difference safe and unsafe touch - understanding the difference between secrets and surprises - respecting body boundaries. Approximately 20% of girls, and 8% of boys will experience sexual abuse before their 18th birthday (Pereda, et al, 2009). Parents, caregivers, and educators have a duty of care to protect children by teaching them body safety skills. These skills empower children, and go a long way in keeping them safe from abuse - ensuring they grow up as assertive and confident teenagers and adults.

Jayneen Sanders (también conocida como Jay Dale) es una educadora de primeros años experimentada, autora y editora de libros infantiles.

Es la autora líder de libros infantiles sobre seguridad corporal y consentimiento con nueve libros escritos en este ámbito, y más actualmente en producción. Jayneen también ha escrito, y continúa escribiendo, libros infantiles sobre igualdad de género e inteligencia social y emocional.

Jayneen comenzó su carrera docente en la década de 1980 como maestra de escuela primaria en Queensland rural, Australia. Luego se mudó a Melbourne, Victoria, y enseñó en varias escuelas del centro de la ciudad.

En 1985, Jayneen cambió de carrera y se convirtió en editora y publicista educativa.

A principios de los 90, Jayneen y su pareja se mudaron a Japón para trabajar como profesores de inglés. Vivieron y trabajaron en Japón durante más de tres años y medio. De hecho, la primera hija de Jayneen nació allí.
