Auferund von Gültigkeitskriterien wird eezeigt, da auch auf das Problem der Diffusionspumpe gasdynamische Methoden näherungs- weise angewandt werden können. Mit den Ergebnissen der gas- dynamischen Theorie kann das Verhalten der Diffusionspumpe bei verschiedenen AnsaugdrUcken und teilweise verschlossenen Düsen verstanden werden. Unter Zugrundlegung der gasdynamischen Rechnung wird das Pro- blem der tilrUckströmung und des Saugverl'1ögens von Diffusions- pumpen behandelt.
