Dibujé estas historietas a fines de los años 80 y principios de los 90, antes de convertirme en una humorista seria. Durante mucho tiempo estas páginas me resultaron impresentables, pero no porque fueran sobre sexo sino por cuestiones estilísticas que ya no me preocupan tanto. Hoy rescato la frescura irreverente y el erotismo -algo ingenuo en muchos casos- que las mantienen vivas. Pero sobre todo envidio la pasión con la que fueron hechas, robándole horas a todo yexponiéndome a lo que fuera.

Maitena Inés Burundarena Streb, known artistically as Maitena, is a prominent Argentine cartoonist and scriptwriter born in Buenos Aires in 1962. Of Basque and Polish descent, she moved to Uruguay in her youth, where she began to develop her passion for drawing and illustration. Throughout her career, she has worked in various media, including magazines and newspapers, and has published numerous books that reflect her sharp observation of everyday life and human emotions.

Among her most notable works are "Mujeres alteradas" (1993), "Superadas" (2006), and "Curvas peligrosas" (2008). These publications, framed in the genre of graphic humor and comics, have been acclaimed for their ability to capture the complexities of the female experience with humor and sensitivity. "Mujeres alteradas" has been especially influential, consolidating Maitena as one of the most relevant artists in the field of Latin American comics.
