Synopsis "Light at the End of the Tunnel"

Things happen in life that are difficult to understand. When faced with the stresses of growing up or the complications of everyday life, you might wonder, "Where is the good in this?" Lisa-Ann Marie Gillings finds faith and truth in several frightening situations that come her way. From a cemetery shooting to a violent passenger on her Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus in New York City, Gillings provides interesting and unique stories, each ending with its own little ray of light. In this poetic collection of short memoirs, Gillings discovers the good among the upsetting and downright spooky occurrences of her life and upbringing. Ghost stories and dreams lead to religious awakenings and deep insights for the author. Gillings's casual, raw writing style will motivate adolescents and adults alike to face down their demons and rise up as victors in every aspect of life.
