Este es el primer volumen de mi investigación sobre las novelas de la dictadura y la post dictadura chilena. Para estudiar estas novelas, aparté un canon con treinta y dos de ellas, que fueron las que por razones ideológicas y estéticas me parecieron las más meritorias, pero lo hice a sabiendas de que el corpus completo estaba compuesto por cien, ciento cincuenta o doscientas.

Grínor Rojo holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Iowa, United States (1971). His areas of expertise include Literature and culture in Latin America, Critical theory, and Latin American Theater. He is the author of over 150 publications, including articles, book chapters, and books. Among them, the most recent are: Critical History of Chilean Literature. Vol. I. The Colonial Era. Among the courses he has taught recently are: Theory of the Novel, Theory of Poetry, and Latin American Culture of the Second Modernity: 1920-1973.
