Joana Marcús, born in Mallorca in 2000, divides her time between her studies, her books, and her pets. Since she was young, she knew she loved writing, although her first texts were only short stories. It was not until she was thirteen that she dared to publish her first complete story on Wattpad, where she has continued writing to this day.

She has been a winner of the Wattys Awards twice for her novels Irresistible Proposal in 2016 and Cities of Smoke in 2019. She is one of the youngest authors to achieve international bestseller success. In 2021, Before December ranked among the top 10 best-selling novels in various countries. In 2022, she was the best-selling author just behind the Harry Potter books. She traveled to various countries and cities to promote her stories.
