La meditacion soleada es una vision y un modo de estar en el mundo. Parte de la idea de que el cosmos es una mente extendida y la materia una experiencia mental. La mente no es aqui el cerebro, sino la experiencia de la percepcion, la memoria, el deseo y el lenguaje. Estos son los cuatro componentes del mundo para el empirista radical. Toda su indagacion se inicia ahora, cuando percibe, recuerda y desea, mediante un lenguaje heredado que le ayuda a entender su identidad. El empirismo radical se distancia de cualquier tipo de genealogia o explicacion sobre las causas que nos han traido hasta aqui (big-bangs, neoliticos, karmas o ADNs). Acepta el hecho de que somos una flecha en movimiento y trata de dilucidar adonde nos dirigimos. La meditacion soleada es cultura mental. Modos y estrategias de orientarse en la mente del mundo y navegar en ella. Este libro es una metafisica de bolsillo. Juan Arnau (Valencia, April 28, 1968) is a Spanish philosopher and essayist specialized in Eastern philosophies and religions. After working as a sailor and traveling through Africa, he studied Astrophysics at the Complutense University of Madrid, graduating in 1994. In 1995, he moved to India with a scholarship from the AECI and studied at the Hindu University of Benares under the guidance of the Sanskrit specialist Óscar Pujol. Later, he obtained his doctorate at El Colegio de México, where he delved into the study of Sanskrit with Rashik Vihari Joshi. He has been a researcher at the López Piñero Institute of History of Medicine and Science (CSIC-University of Valencia) and an associate professor at the University of Barcelona. In 2014, he received the XXXIV Valencian Literary Criticism Award for Manual de filosofía portátil.
