Jewels and Kings A Middle Eastern Tale is the fifth book in the Arabian Gulf series by the same author and follows some of the characters and some of the themes developed in the first four books which are entitled Hawks and Doves An Arabian Tale, Pearls and Princes A Tale of the Gulf, Oil and Sheikhs A Desert Tale and Gold and Princesses A Tale of Palaces. The action in this fast-paced thriller takes place in Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Iran, Israel, Russia, The Netherlands, the USA and the UK. The Iranian Intelligence agent who plundered a sunken Nazi treasure train, discovered a hoard of jewels that contained the pale-blue diamond - carved with a Star of David - that was reputed to be the jewel that had been set in gold in King Solomon's Ring of Power. Legend tells that King Solomon used the Ring of Power to subjugate demons. In the modern world, the King of Saudi Arabia wishes to use the ring to trap and destroy an evil jinn. The story builds to a thrilling climax as agents from MI6, the CIA, Mossad, and Russian Intelligence fight for possession of the ring.
