Im einzelnen zeigt der Verfasser, daa der quantitative Einflua von Vertragssparsystemen auf die aggregierten Ersparnisse zwar nicht eindeutig ist, aber die qualitativen Effekte auf die Zusammensetzung nationaler Ersparnisse sowohl theoretisch als auch empirisch wohlbegrundet sind. Indem Pensionsfonds und Lebensversicherungs-Gesellschaften eine relativ stabile Nachfrage nach Wertpapieren gewahrleisten, versorgen sie auaerdem die Markte mit Liquiditat und Stabilitat. Hiermit werden die Transaktionskosten fur Investoren gesenkt. Zusatzlich etablieren institutionelle Investoren hohe Informationsstandards und Transparenz, insbesondere bezuglich des finanziellen Status von Unternehmen.
