James Bowen was a street musician who encounters an injured orange cat in his London apartment. Bowen begins to take care of him, and Bob (as he calls the cat) of Bowen. That's how, overnight, they become an artistic duo, but also inseparable life companions.

Bowen, who claims that Bob has helped him overcome his drug addiction, has written a book to tell their story called A Street Cat Named Bob (La Esfera de los Libros). And it turns out to have been a great success: the street musician has entered the restricted elite of writers who have sold more than a million copies in the United Kingdom, along with figures of the caliber of Charles Dickens and Samuel Johnson.
