Synopsis "Harry Potter y la Cámara Secreta (Harry Potter 2) (in Spanish)"

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second volume of British author J.K. Rowling's now classic series of fantasy novels. "There is a conspiracy, Harry Potter. A plot to make the most terrible things happen this year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." This summer Harry has had the worst birthday of his life, dire warnings by a house elf named Dobby, and a rescue from the Dursleys' house starring his friend Ron Weasley at the helm of a magical flying car. Back at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where his sophomore year is about to begin, Harry hears strange whispers echoing through the empty hallways. And then the attacks begin and several students are found turned to stone ... Apparently, Dobby's sinister predictions are coming true.

Joanne Rowling (Yate, 1965), known worldwide as J.K. Rowling, is a British writer and screenwriter who has left a deep mark on contemporary literature thanks to the creation of the Harry Potter saga. Her work not only revolutionized children's and young adult literature, but also became a global cultural phenomenon. Before achieving success, Rowling studied Philology and worked in various jobs, including Amnesty International. It was during a train journey when the idea of Harry Potter emerged, which, after overcoming personal difficulties such as the loss of her mother and raising her daughter alone, managed to publish in 1997 after several editorial rejections. The Harry Potter saga, with more than 600 million copies sold and translated into multiple languages, is her most influential work. She also writes crime novels under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, showing her versatility as an author.

In 2020, J.K. Rowling returned to writing for children with the fairy tale The Ickabog, which she first published for free online during the lockdown; later she donated all the book's royalties to help the most vulnerable groups affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. J.K. Rowling confesses she always wanted to be a writer. She lives in Scotland with her family.
