Anna Ruhe wurde in Berlin geboren. Nach einem Abstecher an die englische Küste studierte sie Kommunikationsdesign und Illustration und arbeitete daraufhin viele Jahre als Grafikdesignerin in großen und kleinen Designbüros. Spannende Geschichten hatte sie schon immer im Kopf, mit dem Schreiben begann sie nach der Geburt ihrer zwei Kinder. Mit ihrer Familie lebt sie in Berlin.Claudia Carls erklärte in ihrer Kindheit abwechselnd, Schriftstellerin oder Künstlerin werden zu wollen, bis sich dieser Konflikt mit dem Beschluss, Buchillustration zu studieren, schließlich auflösen ließ. Als Diplom-Designerin lebt und arbeitet sie in Hamburg und gestaltet Bilderbücher, Kinder- und Jugendbücher, Sachbücher und Plakate.
