Synopsis "Cien Sonetos de Amor (in Spanish)"

Neruda sings of his companion and muse Matilde, but also of Chile, from which he was exiled and to which he returned shortly before the publication of this book. The sea, the land and the different phases of the day evoke moods and are the common threads of this extraordinary declaration of love. A sample of Neruda's boundless talent and a masterpiece of poetry in the Spanish language.
