Synopsis "Características da Anemia Durante a Gravidez no Hospital Kabgayi, Ruanda 2020 (in Portuguese)"

A anemia é uma das doenças associadas às mulheres grávidas. A Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS) revelou que a maioria de 61,3% das mulheres grávidas anémicas foi encontrada em África. O objetivo deste estudo, portanto, foi identificar fatores dietéticos e de morbidade associados à anemia entre as mulheres grávidas que freqüentam o hospital Kabgayi. O estudo utilizou um desenho de pesquisa transversal. A população alvo foi de 936 mulheres grávidas, das quais uma amostra de 272 mulheres foi obtida usando a fórmula de Fisher et al., 2014. Os resultados revelaram que a prevalência de anemia entre as mulheres grávidas foi de 29,4% observada no hospital Kabgayi durante o período do estudo. Os achados também mostraram que quase metade delas apresentava anemia moderada 46,25%. Os achados da análise multivariada mostraram que ser solteira, estar na categoria 1 e 2, não comer verde escuro foram fatores associados à anemia entre as gestantes procuradas no hospital Kabgayi durante o período do estudo.
