Kelly Sue DeConnick (nacida en 1970 en Columbus, Ohio) es una guionista estadounidense de cómics ampliamente reconocida por reinventar a personajes emblemáticos y defender con convicción la inclusión de voces femeninas y diversas en el medio. Su incursión en la industria comenzó adaptando manga del japonés al inglés durante años, antes de dar el salto a la escritura de cómics propios; entre sus primeros trabajos figuró una historia para la serie CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Logró notoriedad al revitalizar la identidad de Carol Danvers, dándole el título de Captain Marvel, un enfoque que resonó con lectores y contribuyó a cimentar su popularidad.
