Jesus challenged His followers then as He does now with the following admonition, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father" (John 14:12, NIV). Additionally, as Jesus' mother, Mary stated, "Do whatever he tells you" (John 2:5, NIV). As well, in the New Living Translation, the apostle Paul challenges the church at Philippi by urging them as follows: "You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had..." (Phil.2:5, NLT). Hence, the same attitude mentioned here is synonymous with the term, "mindset." Yes, Jesus demonstrates the prime example of service, but He also shown on several occasions how to "have what you say and say what you desire" by utilizing faith as a servant as emphasized in this discourse (see Mark 11:22-24).
