Synopsis "About us: Young Photography in China "

Grappling with sweeping social changes during the past thirty years of China’s global rise, young artists have explored and crafted new identities through photography. While their works range across subjects—capturing bustling cityscapes and quiet landscapes, framing exuberant hopefulness and melancholic doubt—their experimentation speaks to a generational need for new aesthetic tools in an uncertain world. Featuring 150 photographs from the collections of the Alexander Tutsek-Siftung, About Us offers a vibrant and in-depth survey of contemporary Chinese photography. Featuring art by Adou, Birdhead, Cai Dongdong, Cao Fei, Cheng Alex Huanfa, Chen Ronghui, Chen Wei, Chen Wenjun & Jiang Yanmei, Fan Ye, Gao Bo, Gao Mingxi, Huang Xiaoliang, Jiang Pengyi, Jiang Zhi, Li Yang, Liang Xiu, Pao Basil, Liao Pixy, Liu Ke & Huang Huan, Liu Rachel, Luo Yang, Mo Yi, Mu Ge, Ren Hang, Rong Rong & Inri, Shen Wei, Shi Yangkun, Sun Yanchu, Wang Bing, Wang Ningde, Wei Be, Wen Fang, Weng Fen, Xiuzhen Yin, Yang Fudong, Zhang Huan, Zhang Kechun, and Zhang Xiao.
