Matheus Lopes
Matheus Lopes is a Brazilian comic book colorist and creator, born on August 11, 1991, in João Neiva, Brazil. He started his career in 2008 as a hobby, but in 2009 decided to turn professional, working with publishers like DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Image Comics, and Dynamite.
He has collaborated on notable works such as "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" and "Step by Bloody Step", alongside artist Bilquis Evely and writer Tom King. His work on "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" earned him an Eisner Award nomination in 2020.
In 2024, Matheus participated in the creation of "Helen de Wyndhorn", a sword and sorcery epic that blends elements of "Conan the Barbarian" and "The Wizard of Oz". This project brought together the Eisner Award-winning team behind "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow".
Besides his work in comics, Matheus has ventured into the digital world, creating filters for Instagram and founding the company Duo Filters, which gained significant popularity during the pandemic. His ability to adapt and innovate in the digital realm has been highlighted in various media.
