Juan Carlos Rincón Escalante
Juan Carlos Rincón Escalante, born in Cúcuta in 1991, is a lawyer with a Master's Degree in Law from Universidad de los Andes. Although his background is in law, he has developed a notable career in journalism. He is currently the editor of the Opinion section at the Colombian newspaper El Espectador. Additionally, he is the co-creator of digital projects like La Pulla, Las Igualadas, La Puesverdad, and La Red Zoocial, which together have amassed over a million followers and hundreds of millions of views.
In 2020, Rincón Escalante co-wrote the book "La depresión (no) existe" with Cecilia Ramos Valencia, a non-fiction work that addresses mental health issues. This book has sold over 10,000 copies and has been published in several countries, including Spain. Besides his journalistic and literary work, he is a professor at Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, where he teaches Opinion Journalism.
